Judging an Indy by its cover

Without naming names, I was in the neighborhood of a well known Saab indy shop on Sunday, so I walked on over to check it out. It was closed, so I couldn't see the inside of the actual service area. The parking lot was filled with parts cars - which was sort of cool - you could tell the customer cars since they weren't snow covered. But when I peeked inside the front office - the blinds were partially open - I saw the messiest place you could imagine. Shockingly sloppy in fact. Perhaps I'm spoiled by the dealer experience, since you could eat off that shop's floor it is so clean. I was considering trying out that indy given his reputation for awesomeness, but the appearance alone is giving me second thoughts.
So I ask you fellow Saabophiles, can or should you judge a Saab indy by its cover?
