I've heard it a good many times that CO is becoming more like CA or is the next CA . Cost of living going up, traditionally a conservative state but no longer, roadways more congested and so.
What this means to me is - elk getting harder to hunt, fish getting scarcer to catch, traffic to and from mtns often turns a 2 hr drive into 4,6,8 or even 10 hrs. 10 hrs was experienced one weekend this winter by some caught in massive road closures on a busy ski weekend, distance from Summit County to Denver is only 70 to 80 miles.
Population along the Front Range of Colorado forecasted to double by 2050 or sooner.
Fort Collins traffic has gotten pretty bad. Not sure why Rand Mcnally or whoever rates the town so highly - the national forest areas west of the city and along the Poudre River are badly overused.
