My former job would put me in both Arlington and Shreveport for a few days of July every year watching hot asphalt being laid. I was in Shreveport on a particularly nasty April day in preparation for the upcoming summer construction. I asked Sam, my site contact, how bad things really got in Summer. He replied "Man, sometimes it will get over 100 degrees and just hang there, night and day, for a week. Those days are pretty bad."
Then I asked about the humidity. Sam got an evil glint in his eye and said , "It never goes over 100 percent!"
