Seems like a logic failure - how can your braking habits tell you anything about how well you drive? If you spend your time in LA traffic, you're either hard braking behind the idiot in front of you, or hard braking behind the idiot who cut you off because you left too much space between you and the car in front. That's a no-win scenario. Now, if these devices measured something like, say, lateral acceleration I'd put some faith in them, but OBD-based metrics used for predictive driving evaluation seems fraught with failure. I'm either on the gas or on the brakes at all times. That's how you get where you're going. Duh. They'd probably jack my rates sky high, despite the fact that in 25 years of driving I've had exactly one at-fault accident (and it was me on an empty road hooning an SPG). Fail.
