OT: Looking for step-by-step guide to cutting the cable Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Wed, 22 Jul 2015 03:24:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Most of what I find is non-technical articles with no real benefit, or high octane hyper-speak sales puffery. We purchased a Smart TV last year which has most of the common cable cutting applications already built-in.
I understand the need for the low cost monthly subscriptions for use of these applications, but is there a master list identifying which programming comes with which service? Would this list identify additional applications we might desire but are not built-in?
Do you need a modem when connecting the TV to the internet cable? Does the cable connect in a different spot? (I know these can be found in our TV Owner's Manual, but in general what have others found?) How necessary is a wireless keyboard to connect to the TV for program searching? Minimum internet speed for high quality viewing?
We have a choice between ComCast and ATT - both suck - and our current ComCast is $150/month for standard cable TV package with internet.
