I may go back there and ski this winter - despite the outlandish cost of lift tiks and lodging but my kid usually ferrets out a deal or two. Could be wrong about the Cruiser's digs - that info can from my son and he's only in town 3 or 3 weeks a year to help with festivals.
I last skied there in 1981 when there no village and you could get a ski to the lift condo for peanuts, not sure if the ones we stayed in even exist anymore.
The promoter for the Blues n Brews came to Telluride as a lift operator and ski bum, eventually bought a liquor store and then approached the town council 24 yrs ago for the festival as primarily a way of increasing liquor store sales. He's a real good guy and the locals love him.
Also walked down a ski run into the village and along the run were a number of large houses that looked like $5 or $6m properties, maybe more.
Got up to Imogene pass and there are some of the most extensive mining ruins that I've seen in CO along the way.
