It depends on what the seller wants, I guess. When I bought my 2008 9-5 SportCombi from a guy about 3 hours from here who listed it here on Saabnet a year and a half ago, we did the transaction in person and I gave him a certified check from my credit union (which has branches all over the state) and we took it to his bank (Wells Fargo) and they deposited it to his account. He was OK with that because he knew the credit union was legit, but he could have demanded cash, I guess.
