Two sons, one (38yo Lawyer) has no interest in car or home maintenance and the other (36yo Doctor) feigns just enough interest to get me to do the work items for him. I was looking at cordless tool kits on-line the other night; drill driver, small impact driver, saber saw, reciprocating saw, small circular saw, batteries, charger and carry bag.
My wife saw and asked what I was doing. I replied I was investigating possible Xmas gift ideas for the boys. She said "Why, they will never use those things."
Sad but true............
But I shouldn't complain too much. The photo below shows a project my wife, I and the youngest son did in his home back in early January of 2016. I did the center and right hand doors. Our son apparently was frustrated that the wife and I stopped work at ~5pm and drove home, so he cased the left hand door by himself, using my tools, after we left. Obviously he has the talent. He just has other primary interests than mine.
