Previously there would always be drivers encroaching upon the cross-walk, and maybe partially or even completely blocking it, trying to get a clear view to their left so they could right-turn-on-red-after-stop. But in the past they were stopped, or would come to a stop.
Now I see drivers continuing to roll into and through the cross-walk while it is being used by pedestrians so they do not need to wait for their car to restart after it fully stops.
Same problem as in the past, but with an increased danger to pedestrians now.
