If you are looking for good seats and have difficulty finding a rogue, Volvo is probably as comparable to Saab as there is, and probably quite a few local cars throughout VT. The other upside is they don't rust as quickly as Nissan, Honda, or Toyota. I agree with you on subies, maybe the newest ones are better, but anything from the era you are looking at had very uncomfortable seats for long haul driving...

The other thing is that at least around here, availability of used cars is kinda meh right now while everyone is kinda hunkered down for winter. That will probably improve in the spring so if you can wait, finding the right car may get easier.
