Thanks for replying here Snowmobile.

I've avoided Volvos for the same reasons as Mercedes, Jag, etc - around here getting repairs on 'em is more $pendy than I can handle.

My (much smaller) partner is a Subie driver by choice & has never said a word about their lousy seats.
(I prefer to even avoid being a passenger in her Outback !!)

It may be that it'll take a while to find a good car for me & that is livable if need be.

I do seriously enjoy the '08 Rogue & will be happy to get another of that model if one can be found.

PS:
Despite my own Saabing time being in the past now - I did just renew my membership for 1 more year 'cuz this is such a good place.
