What's your solution? Would you rather the company keep employees when their cars aren't selling and the economy's in the dumps? That would put the company out of business.

Workers in Socialist countries like Sweden and Finland have EXTREMELY high labor costs so I for one hope they move production of SAABs here to the US or elsewhere, which is what they might eventually do. Much like BMW in SC and Mercedes Benz in AL.

Maybe this is just obvious to me as a guy with an MBA, but it all comes down to the cost of doing business. If it's too high, you've got to lower it or you'll simply not have a competitive advantage and will soon be out of business entirely.
