Hi,
This discussion reminds of so many that I hear at coffee shops and music venues. People are aware of the struggle of the working people in the US and around the world but... The problem, of course, is the cause of the struggle is undefined. Those of you that refer to Communism are really refering to condition in the Soviet Union (where I am from) or China, etc. I can tell you that no Marxist believes that those countries were/are Communist. Marxism is a way to examine an economy whereas Communism is the obvious choice for economic system after a Marxist examination. Communism exist here in the states everyday and none of you fight it, in fact, most of you celebrate not knowing it. I am refering to the many Start up companies that spawn (or at least use until recently) every year. In a Start up a group of people (workers) work together and control the profits (and losses) of their company. ***NOTICE*** The Market is still present. The only difference is that producer is also the distributor of the profits.

The situation above obviously did not exist in USSR. While there was no market, the profits were not distributed by those people that created them. I know you all want for me to say what then the USSR's political economy was!- the answer is a Command Monorchy. Command- because one central agency (the government) controlled and distributed the profits. Monorchy- becuase there was real no elections. I don't consider choosing one of one canditate an election.

Best Regards
Roman
