My son lives in Telluride and finally bought a new car, replacing his 1997 Honda Passport that we had gifted him - after 250k miles the only non maintenance item that needed replacement was the starter. What did he buy - a 2016 Taco TRD that he paid 30k for - could have easily bought an American made truck for the $5k less or so, but in the mountain towns Toyotas are the choice of the locals - 4Runners, Tundras and Tacos, their long term reliability is unmatched by anything american made.

So why less Colorados - they are now scrap metal. I recently spent 5 days in a rented Colorado , only 2k miles but was totally unimpressed by it, wind noise, poor seats, so so drive train. I wouldn't buy one.
