I agree especially in the case of the Tundra and the Titan, the Tundra I believe is EPA mpg rated at 13/17 which is way behind the big 3 detroit automakers.

However lest one forgets - for over 50 yrs the US has protected their truck market with a 25% tariff on foreign made light trucks, so it's understandable to a degree why Toyota and Nissan aren't especially competitive in the US market.
