As TKC said, the 164 is the same chassis as the 9000 (And a Lancia shared it too, or was it Fiat?... hmmm...)
Anyway, it would be hard to find parts and knowledgeable mechanics, compared to a Honda.
It might also be a Milano. I am a big fan of Alfas. I'd personally consider a 164S... it came with a V6, and pretty cool seats, etc. The Saab 9000 has aged much more gracefully with regards to the interior. I think the bodywork on a 164S still looks great though.
My mom's cousin runs AlfaParts out of Berkeley, CA. He can get just about any part... but you can't go down to NAPA/PepBoys/whatever and get things.
Let us know!
