I'm no Volvo expert, but I have recently started looking at a S60 or V60.
The "new" engine is a 2.0L aluminum, available in turbocharged, 240 hp trim (T5), or turbo and supercharged 302 hp (T6). The 2.0L T6 isn't yet available in NA S/V60's. These aren't available across all models yet, and it gets confusing as they still have 5 cy 2.5Ll T5's and 3.0L T6's in some models.
It seems really unlikely that the 2.5L 5 cyl started as an iron block, and became aluminum in 2013.
