Point form as they come to mind. I got a '15 Jetta Highline (SEL in the US) with Tech Pkg (BiXenon with bendy lights, Nav, Fender Audio, Blind Spot Warning & Fwd Collision Warning)

- wanted a GTI (or Golf) but new model years on new assembly lines = no beuno. no matter how good your rep is, there's always bugs

- When I got my Jetta in December, I wanted a GLI but they weren't available (in transit to port) but I was getting to the point where I couldn't wait any longer

- Glad I got the Highline instead. For me at least, the premium for the GLI isn't worth it. You get 200cc's more in the engine (2.0 vs 1.8) Colour Mulit-Function Display (MFD) vs Monochrome (both cases it's the "full" MFD), 18" vs 17" wheels (I prefer slightly smaller), Automatic lights & wipers (not available) and for the transmission the GLI gets a 6spd manual or 6spd DSG (dual clutch). A non-GLI gets a 5spd Manual or 6spd torque converter automatic

- the GLI does *NOT* get the new 2.0 that the GTI has, it still has the "old" motor

- the 1.8 is rated to 170HP (6200rpm) / 184 lbft of torque (1500-4750rpm)

- the 1.8 also is tuned and runs on regular (!). But anecdotally people seem to think that it will advance the timing and give you more power if you put premium swill into it.

- no issues with my car yet.

Anything you want to know, just ask...
