Wheel speed is provided by the speedometer in a T5 Saab 9000 (1994-98). You also need the electronic sender for the transmision, as the 9000 does not have a traditional mechanical speedo-cable.
Wheel speed is provided by the ABS system in the T5 ng900 (1994-99) and T5 9-3 (1999). This is a similar signal but runs at a factor of 6.2X higher frequency than the 9000 system. The signals/computers are not compatible, as mixing them up makes the computer produce base boost.
I'm running a T5 in my SPG right now; it is controlling boost, fuel and timing w/ DI cassette. I chose to use a 9000 speedometer for my wheelspeed input, and I build a frequency multiplier so I can flip between a 9000 computer and a ng900 computer, but it hasn't worked all the time and I can't really give you a good lead on that one.
I think I'd run an OBDI ng900 box 1995-1996 with (OBDI only has one O2 sensor and a charcoal cannister solenoid valve, while later OBDII cars have a gas tank pressure test and 2nd O2 sensor). I'd put an ABS ring on one of the rear wheels and rig the speed signal from that, the way that rally teams use an ABS sensor for their trip computers.
I used to have pics on the Saabpics gallery, but this doesn't seem to be working now. Anyone have a lead on that? Bazil?
