Jak...You are right about the boost in Ice Racing...it is road course racing and beleive me ..You need gobs of HP,but when coming "OFF" the corner initialy, one wants the torque curve to be somewhat linear.Once you hit the straightaway..let her rip!
Is the speed senser the biggest thing to overcome here. The speed signal comes from the left rear wheel senser..Does it go to the MIU (speedometer) from there and then onto the ecu?? must it also pass through the ABS control module?? Or would the speed signal work if just fed from the Left rear wheel senser straight to the T-5 ECM, I understand TRIONICS works on "INPUTS".
It would be nice to get the ABS plumbing and control module out of this car as it is not neccesary and would really cleanup the engine compartment.
I can handle starting/charging, and cooling fan circuits easily on a seperate basis unless these also have anything to do with with T-5 inputs.
This is going to be a long experiment...I'm starting to see that!
I will be heading out tuesday morning,Day after Christmas for Kansas City to go see Brad S. We are going to install and DYNO the engine in Claude Jr's SAAB 900 8 valve Mini-stock..huge horsepower gauranteeed!!! We're looking forward to this trip as the away time will be fun...as I am presently working on 3...yes THREE...SAAB racecars all at once!!!
