Relocating to the Southwest soon, the land of relentless sun. Our '02 9-5 Aero with automatic trans. is stock. Thoughts to lower underhood temperature & improve performance are Nick's 3" down pipe & race cat which moves the cat back underneath the car. BIG question is whether to go to an FMIC mounted below the radiator or stay with Nick's which goes in the stock location. Concern here is the stack of evap + radiator + intercooler & resulting inefficency. Would mounting the intercooler below benefit the engine & the a/c system? Another question is whether the CFM of a FMIC could be of equal volume to the OEM? Any thoughts are appreciated!
