...you are not wrong. Tracks are very different to real world British A and Bs, as you quite rightly point out.
Just out of interest, I was on a "supercar day" a couple of years back at Mallory Park (a small and tight circuit if you know it). Out of a Diablo SV, Maser 3200GT, 968, Elise, Viper and Jag XKR convertible, the consistently quickest car round the track was.........the XKR. Strange but true (verified for by all the instructors as well). And yes, it had the 20" Detroits on it...!! Fried the brakes though...whoops.
I will never forget that Lambo V12 behind my head though - what a noise. Tight squeeze at 6'5" with a helmet though....!
