They have been using this kind of plug in Aircraft for years. I work on 2 Lockheed Super constellation Starliners (L-1649-A,last 2 able to fly in the world). The engines are Curtiss-Wright, turbo-compound (R3350-988TC18EA2) and make 3400hp on 155/165 oct. fuel at take off. The aircraft were built in 1957. We use the same kind of plugs in those engines. Also on my Cessna 150 M (100hp at take off on 100LL, WOW I know). They are what came out of the factroy in 57 so for Bosh to act like this is somthing new is silly. That design is made for hi proformance engines. All they do is make it harder to foul(but it can be done trust me I have done it)and last longer, but they don't make a spark any hotter then a stock plug I don't care what the adds say. I have seen the dif. on an engine analyzer. Get them if you want but you can do just as well with a good double Platinum plug. And don't get me started on split fires. They are for Hondas and other toys...
