My understanding is that the heavy duty Bilstiens are more firmly valved than even the heaviest setting on the adjustable konis. I've got the bilsteins and SPG springs along with the 16" wheels and 205/50 tires set at 24psi. Sounds like my set up is more firm than yours even with your aftermarket springs! Shocks and springs and tires all do different things to a car's ride and handling. Another guy with a classic had intax springs, stock "lightly valved" shocks and 15" wheels with the 195/60 tires. His ride was contolled, with limited body role, but supple over road irregularities. I was jealous. I'm thinking of going his direction and changing to adjustable konis set at the most supple setting and just installing a firm pair of aftermarket springs. Maybe I'll have to go back to the 15" wheels and 195/60 tires to get that kind of supple quality over road irregularities
How much lower did your car sit from stock with your aftermarket springs??? What did you have stock? SPG or hatchjback, convertible springs??? They were all different hieghts and firmness rates.
