I found another post and thread in this forum describing similar symptoms to what I experienced and two posts in that thread said the issue might be a need to add some oil to the lubrication hole above the brake pedal (as to why after driving some on a fairly warm day with the brakes working fine that the brake calipers suddenly did not release on the front discs). Would that be the first thing to check before assuming it might be the brake lines going bad? I had never heard about this lubrication point for the brake and clutch pedals before.
