OK, good to know about lubricating that with a drop of oil (I had not done that), but that does not sound like the cause of of the front disc brakes locking up and not releasing after driving in warm weather for about 20+ miles of stop and go driving. In the case I am experiencing, when this happens, the brake pedal has returned to its highest position, but becomes very stiff and cannot be depressed due to the front calipers still pressing on the discs.
