...but the eBay description alone begs for scrutiny. The fact that the car was purchased in August '06 for less than a grand only adds to the of questions.

Your description: "I HAVE OVER 25,000 USD IN IT AND WOULD LIKE TO FIND A NEW HOME FOR IT AS MY AGE PREVENTS ME FROM DRIVING IT."

So, you bought the car 6 months ago for next to nothing, put $25K into it and now want to sell it for $17,5K. That translates into an immediate loss of ~$8,500! As an enthusiast, I understand the idea of putting more into a car than you'll ever get back on resale...but if age prevents you from driving it today, I'm going to assume that age prevented you from driving it 6 months ago when you bought it. To me, that suggests that you bought it with the intention of restoring it and flipping it (for a profit). But, why would anyone want to flip a car so quickly for such a big loss? Something seems to be missing.

Then there's the comment "NEXT TO ZERO RUST". If this is a 6 month old, $25K restoration, why would there by ANY rust?

Please don't read this as me trying to suggest that you're being dishonest. I'm not. As others have said, you're asking more than double what these cars seem to go for in the market. For that kind of premium, I tend to look more closely at the details. And, if you put yourself in our shoes, I'm sure you will understand why some of us might be looking at the description and price with raised eyebrows.

Best of luck to you and the bidders.

-Eric
