...this BB is only a small percentage of Sonett owners. If your auction went sideways, it is unlikey that we had much to do with that. Maybe readers on this BB stayed away (maybe not), but your auction was advertised Worldwide, and this BB is not in charge of an international conspiracy.

If your auction went sideways it was because potential buyers did not bite. Why? Well, we could guess all day. Your listing is too verbose. Your listing contradicts itself, your car has several non-stock items, you provided very few pictures and no pictures of known trouble spots like the underside and the trunk, and your price was a bit up there. Maybe it was barometric pressure, maybe it was fear over mortgage rates, or maybe it was just because it was the wrong phase of the lunar cycle. Whatever happened, you did not come across as 100%.

Selling a car is also selling yourself. Poor advertising implies loads about the seller. I am not saying anything against you, but your advert was not 100%, so people will think the car is not 100% and people will think the owner is not 100%. You can be the best car restoring genius in The World, but if you can't get the message out cleanly you will not attract good comments or good customers.

I tire of this thread, and I will no longer reply no matter what is posted. I am not sorry I started the thread. I am just tired of the bickering and blaming.

Whatever happens, I hope you get out of this what you wish for and what your fairly deserve.
