Hello everyone, I'm thinking about owning a Saab 900 early model, perhaps 1990 although I may choose an earlier year. I was speaking to my dad about it since he was a former owner of a 1982 900 turbo It was beautiful and I would like to get one to cure my nostalgia and because they are very cool. Anyway he currently works for a collision shop that seems to specialize in saabs and volvos and he kind of discouraged me about buying one because he says the parts are expensive and real hard to find. He sold his Saab in the late 90's and hasn't owned another since.
Also I plan on doing all maintenance myself. Anyone have any info on what that would be like on an older Saab 900? Thanks in advance for any and all advice.
