Hmm....

That idle thing seems strange....no, it should not be like that. Maybe Karl can give TAQ a call to hear their opinion. Its clearly a software problem and not a mechanical one!?

Dont worry about the plugs now, if they are set at ~1mm then leave it at that until you have sorted everything else out. 1mm is good enough and should not cause any major problems.

If we forgett about the idle stuff for a while, I think you should check the base boost. It might have changed after installing the new exhaust (should be 0,48bar approx).

It might also be a good idea to check all hooses, twice. Its not at all impossible that there is a leak that prevents boost beyond 14-15psi (boost builds up, leaks out and so on). Also check the bypassvalve.

Check this and let us know what happens.......I bet $10 on the fact that your problems are caused by leaky hooses....
