Hey JJ, all the hoses, wires, everything is from the '98 so I
kinda doubt that they're the culprit, but you could be right. It
doesn't matter now, because I think a band-aid has been
applied. An area Saab mechanic took a spin with Saabrina
today and seems to have fixed the boost problem, even though
I still don't have a plausible diagnosis of why my boost was
low. What he did was put a 'flow regulator', a small plastic
piece in the 'W' line, where it attaches to the BPC. I seem to
be getting plenty of boost now, and everything involved with
the APC is still intact. Ya, the downpipe is very well made,
and I found the price to be very reasonable, a fraction of what
Abbott gets for them. Wait till you hear the Magnaflow, I think
you'll like it. It's not quiet, like yours, but it's not loud, either.
And there's no fancy tip, just a piece of stainless 3" welded
onto the muffler outlet - it's fine by me. Looks like I'll be able
to take a ride in, maybe Monday. You have to let me buy you
lunch or something for the use of your gauge. Talk to you then.
