without actually seeing a car and being able to put the car seats in it, I had to be able to weed vehicles out. I assume that the rear hip room is the widest point they are measuring at. My patriot is 51.6" and for my car seats i went to babies r us and also buy buy baby, and measured out the seats and bought the narrowest car seats they had. I don't remember brands off the top of my head, but the booster is 16", the infant carrier is 17" and the reversible is aboug 18" IIRC. they just fit
I rulled out the civic as it has a rear hip room of 49", or about 3" narrower than my patriot. if that's the widest point, then its most likely not going to fit my seats. I know car seats are cheap, but I've already bought the narrowest I could find locally.
