I am in the process of modifying a stock manifold for my Viggen, and want to add 1-2 O2 sensor bungs, and a pyrometer tap. I have weld-in bungs to do all of these. First off, room is tight, especially when you want to gather information from all 4 cylinders. I think I will just drill and tap the 1/8" hole for the pyrometer, because I can get it at that point (the bung is too big to try to fit at that juncture). The big question is what you all think about running an o2 sensor off of 1 or 2 cylinders (since I cannot get a weld in bung to fit where all four cylinders meet up). Yeah, if a single cylinder is having problems it could perhaps give me false information, but still, I will pick up a general lean condition (which is why I'm doing this, just for the safety of the engine). I am not using this as a tuning tool, just to know if my engine is leaning out. Please offer input and opinions! TIA. ...off topic but I have smoothed out all casting ridges and roughness and ceramic coating it, should look damn pretty with some SS ARP studs! Will post pictures when complete!
