Well the question isn't if I need to run off a few cylinders, but if I can, for the purpose of picking up a more common problem like a bumm MAF or something, versus something less likely that would affect one cylinder.
As far as welding cast iron, from what I've heard if you get it heated up nicely with a torch, and the person doing the welding is generally good, you should be fine. Yeah the weld won't be really strong, but it just needs to seal and that's about it, no stresses on an o2 sensor. Would any of these be bad assumptions? thanks.
