I only run Premium in all my SAABs Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Wed, 4 Dec 2019 03:20:32 In Reply to: Re: Considering my first Saab 9-3, what should I know?, Keith, Tue, 3 Dec 2019 17:58:49 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Years ago I did a detailed comparison between Mid-Grade and Premium in my 2000 9-5. I discovered that I obtained sufficiently better fuel economy running the Premium to justify its slightly higher cost.
Now the cost delta is 20+ cents per gallon and the math probably wouldn't yield the same result. But I still buy only Premium.
On the very few occasions when my wife re-fuels her 9-3 she buys 87 octane fuel and the car doesn't perform noticeably different.
