Combining Saab with Saturn would seem sensical Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 13 Jul 2008 11:14:15 In Reply to: I predict, adl6009 [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 13 Jul 2008 09:06:13 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Putting Saab and Saturn in the same stores makes more sense to me than Saab and Cadillac.
Saturn has been turned into the US outlet for Opel products, mainstream European design and brand. Saab could be sold along side as the Upscale/Performance European brand.
Saturn has the Astra as a small car, then the Aura as a larger car. The 9-3 family fits nicely between them in size, and variants could cover the base to luxury versions for this size automobile. The next generation 9-5 is rumored to be larger than the current car which would place it ahead of the Aura in size and features.
Keep the Saturn Sky as the low cost sporty car. Introduce the turbo version of the Sky as the new Sonett, with more performance and more features than the Sky.
The Vue and 9-4X may be fighting each other for showroom floor space, but perhaps they are more different than I fear.
Saturn can keep the big Cross-Over Vehicle, the Outlook, all for themselves.
