being alive. There is a 100% of certainty of death for all human beings who are alive. LOL.
All engines from all manufacturers can potentially develop oil sludging. The question I raised was not how to avoid sludge altogether and forever . . . the solution to that quest would obviously be quit driving altogether. I have no idea why you are even on the 9-5 board, since you have such a viceral hatred for the car. I'm simply trying to figure out a cost-effective solution to reduce/remove potential oil sludge for existing 9-5, which despite an allegedly relatively high percentage of cars suffering from the problem, still only having only a tiny minority of all 9-5's failing to operate due to the problem. The vast majority of all 9-5's ever made are either still operating or have expired due to other reasons. That simple statistical reality makes your suggestion to tear down every 9-5 engine to solve the potential problem just about as realistic as quitting driving altogether in order to getting oil sludge in used or new cars.
