Whenever I suspect a 205 or 235 engine may have sludge issues, I pull the oil pan and inspect it. You may be presently surprised and find it to be clean! Most likely it will have some sludge, and at least some blockage of the oil pickup screen. The oil pan cleans right up in my parts washer. If you don't have one, a bit of elbow grease in the kichen sink will get it clean. Once you clean it all, you should probably modify the pickup screen. Its mesh is very fine, and clogs easily. There is sludge throughout the engine, and you don't want it clogging your freshly cleaned screen. I use an icepick to open up about 10 holes in it to prevent it from ever clogging again. In fact, on one, I actually replaced the screen material from an C900 pickup screen. It has much larger holes. Put it all back together and you'll be good for a long time. The pan doesn't use a gasket, it uses Locktite 518. Do it right and it won't leak.
