On SaabpartsUSA the sender is shown as for the 9-3 and also fits the 2006-2009 9-5. From the image there it appears to have some type of electrical plug on it. Would you think that means it can be replaced, perhaps from the top of the tank / underside of the rear passenger seat?
I have a "copy" of the SAAB WIS and it does not describe the pump in much detail at all.
It's a $46 part so if that does it, it's not that terribly expensive. I am helping a friend to drop the fuel tank on his Acura NSX (cool car!!) at some point in time and he can help me drop mine on the 9-5 if need be. He's considering getting a lift for his garage and I am salivating over the thought....
