Spent $150 for a pair of what I thought were genuine Phillips 5300K Xenon'a on Amazon about a year ago. Looked legit with the Phillips sticker but came in a plain white box. Bulbs failed after 6 months. Bought another set that based on reviews that I thought were genuine for $100 and a few months later one bulb failed and the other is flickering and very blue.
It now looks like you need to spend around $250 for a pair or $130 for a single bulb to get the real deal on Amazon. (based on reviews).
Should have just dropped the money in the first place as I already have that much in 2 sets of knock off D1S bulbs.
Based on internet research just go out and buy the genuine expensive bulbs from a reputable supplier. The amount of bulbs on Amazon alone being sold at high prices as genuine with bad reviews saying they are counterfeit is quite alarming.
