I just buy bulbs for $20-30 a pair on eBay and then I am sure they are not any kind of counterfeit. They are just non-branded bulbs. And they work very well. Life and reliability have not been a problem. I am not pro-chinese product, but I would rather spend my money on things that count, and a $100 a bulb is just plain crazy. I don't know if I get 2000 hours , but I don get plenty of life in the 2 95s that I maintain in this family.
This is just my experience and my take. I am not preaching that you do the same, but over the years it has worked for me. At these prices I always have a spare set on the shelf if case I need them.
