thanks.. that's an interesting thought. ..
I did replace the MAF around a year or two back, but don't recall if the new replacement was genuine or not..I'd have to check my records. I could try cleaning the wire filaments as I did in the past.. to see if that makes a difference.
.. though the symptoms do seem to point to a low fuel pressure condition.. which wouldn't seem to be MAF related..
