I have those Xenon projectors in my 02 and found the low beams to be very weak as well. I took them out and bent the shutter stop bars slightly so that the shutters sit in a more open position in the low beam mode. That, plus the "666" wiring mod, made the headlights acceptable. I'm running 4500K bulbs and the spectrum seems to cause reflective signs to stand out a little better than the warmer color temps.
