So I spent some time checking the operation of the H7 driving lights.
They *never come on* (and never did), no matter the position of the light switch with any combination of the light stock lever (e.g. the flash mechanism). BTW, pulling on the light flash stock DOES flash the xenon lights - most definitely. This is contrary to the statements made in this thread.
I've never tinkered with the lighting and to my knowledge, the dealer never did anything.
Come to think of it, I did take the car to the dealer after about 6 months of ownership to have them change the way some things worked, e.g. automatically lock doors when reaching a certain speed, etc. I don't recall them programming the lights to work differently. I do remember telling them to adjust the height of the low beams as they only illuminated about 15 yards in front of the car.
Guess I need to spend an evening with the wirng diagrams and figure this out. grrrrr
