Why would you not suspect the battery itself? A failed battery certainly explains all of your symptoms. including:
- failed CCA test
- Alternator charging but battery not recovering fully
- unable to jump with jump pack (failed batt, esp with internal short or if it's severely sulfated, will consume the the juice from a jump. With a batt in this state you will need to either disconnect the battery and connect the jump pack to the cables directly ... or use a very high capacity jump source source)
I'm not saying that it's 100% for sure that the battery is done. But it sure sounds like it is the most likely culprit.
