Thank you all for your responses. I currently drive 97 900s with manual transmission - never seem to get less than 22 mpg city; usual mix about 26 and highway at least 30. Test drove linear automatic and saw 19 mpg and 10 mpg on trip computer - I know they're only driven sporadically so it's not representative. Thought it would be great if I could get a car that's about 900 lbs. heavier and get equivalent gas mileage. I like driving a standard - although my husband is trying to convince me to get auto. trans. Haven't looked at aero b/c heard performance tires not as safe as the other option. Haven't driven v6... And in answer to someone's earlier question - I'm in central NJ. I even emailed saab asking where I could test drive manual linear wagon and they said not really in demand and none on order at the moment.
