If you like driving a standard, don't let anyone convince you to drive anything else! You won't be happy with an automatic.
Do you mean the Aero tires are not safe in the snow? Because in all other conditions, the sport suspension and sport tires of the Aero mean that it can handle high speed emergency manuevers a bit better. If you're unwilling to do seasonal swaps to snow tires, you can get an Aero and then have the dealer swap out the Pilot Primacy tires for Nokian NRWs or Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires, which are year-round performance tires that can still handle moderate snow.
There will be people who disagree with me on that, but I'd argue that NRWs or the Pilot Sport A/S tires are better all around than your typical Michelin MXV+4 all seasons.
And don't get me wrong, nothing beats an all-out snow tire like the Gislaved in a blizzard, but for people living in a metropolitan area with moderate snow, efficient snow removal, and relatively flat terrain, hard-core snow tires are sometimes overkill.
