Thank you for telling me how much of the article I had read.
I did read it all, and I was merely commenting on your statement 'Passat -- worst European car for reliability'. Yes the article mentioned issues with the 1.8T engine, but your post trashed the whole line. You didn't mention in your post that the V6 Passats were a 'Best Bet.' If someone believed your post they would have concluded the Passat was rated horribly by Consumer Reports. That simply isn't true. I'm not stating my opinion - I'm quoting Consumer Reports. The '04 Passat is a 'Best Bet'
