is that this appears to be a single thing that happens with more regularity that perhaps it ought to.
For instance, I've owned a '92 Saturn SC for 6 years. It has 184,000 miles on it (133k are mine), and the only time it ever broke down on the road was due to an alternator failure, and I knew it was coming. The light was on for 100+ miles but I was in the middle of a trip.
More to the point, I've been visiting http://www.saturnfans.com since I bought it, and can't say there's a single issue like the 9-5's DI cassette that comes up with any regularity.
