Removing the pins is difficult. In the past, I've used a special tool called a "large paperclip." ;-) Unbend it and file down one end to a blade profile first. Give the end a slight downward curve, too. The thing about the pins is the tabs are on one side only, so you have to know which side to insert the tool into. Also, if you're too aggressive, you can crush them.
What I did the first time was take a spare connector and crack it open to see exactly how everything fit together. Seeing it makes removing others far easier.
That said, given what you're trying to do, and having messed with a bunch of these connectors in the past: unless there's a really nice special tool for this task, I would rather solder in injector wiring from a younger injector harness w/good boots before dealing with a bunch of those plugs. It's only 2 wires for all 4 injectors. And 3 more for the TPS.
